Wayne Barnes has been in the real estate business since 1980 when he began working with
the HUD and VA foreclosure markets. That amount of experience means he has a vast
knowledge in dealing with people in difficult situations and dealing with difficult
transactions.
The loss of Wayne's wife to cancer in 1997 has brought Wayne a unique ability to grow
in his abilities to stop, listen, understand and empathize when others share their
feelings, needs and wants.
Wayne has become acutely aware of the special needs buyer because of his love
for his friend Jim Chenoweth who has been stricken with MS. Jim has had to make
modifications to his house to make it easier for him to move around. Wayne is
very sensitive to the fact that just because there is a ramp to the front door,
the house does not qualify as "wheel chair accessible." People using
mobility aides have very special needs.
Wayne has also become aware of some of the special needs of Senior Citizens
and has proven to be a champion when assisting in the hunt for a new home.
Wayne says one of the best compliments he has ever received is from a fellow real
estate associate who said, "I like discussing my contracts with Wayne, he looks at the
issues from both the Buyer's and Seller's viewpoints and discusses all the issues. He
covers the bases."
